As part of our outsourcing service, FIT acts as your 4PL (fourth party logistics provider), taking over the active management of your transport networks. How does it work?

First we sign a confidentiality agreement. Then we start to painstakingly document all of your current processes and the associated costs. This involves focusing on both the actual shipments and their individual requirements as well as indirect processes and process participants. Based on the data we collect, we analyse your existing transport management and show you alternatives within the framework of outsourcing and work together with you to increase your delivery and service quality while simultaneously reducing direct and indirect costs. It’s all based on a detailed freight tender we use to give you an in-depth look at the entire market, allowing us to integrate both new and existing carriers into your new transport management concept. You get to keep tabs on everything, without having to do it all yourself.

Can it get any more flexible?

Well yes, as a matter of fact it can. And it can be even faster, to, because we also offer a Spot Market version of our outsourcing service with open book pricing. It gives you the option to profit directly from daily spot rates for road haulage. Before we implement this flexible transport management concept for you, all conditions and terms are specified in a contractual agreement with all involved parties. And during the subsequent daily operations, we provide ongoing monitoring of the processes and real-time evaluations of the daily shipping operations at regular intervals, which we also use to derive immediate process and cost corrections as necessary. Because if you want quick savings, you have to have quick reflexes.
